LANVIN WINDOW DISPLAY

Last Friday night after a delightful dinner in the Saint-Germain, I took a stroll along Rue Saint-Honoré to take a glimpse at all the new window displays that had been put up just in time for Paris fashion week. The moment I stepped foot in front of the Lanvin boutique, I was in total awe of how breathtaking the voluminous pleated polyester gowns looked all blown from beneath. Unlike most of the other window displays, this one in particular was so simply elegant in the way that it each dress took center stage in each window rather than being distracted by any props. It was one of those rare moments that reassured my love for fashion and of course, Lanvin.

Gorgeous! I would kill for one of those! Especially the green and the yellow. Come to think of it, I'd kill for all of them too.

The simplicity of this display is stunning. This proves the case that less is more. Although, I am a sucker for Simon Doonan's Christmas windows.

I wish I had a few of these to wear at my little acreage all summer when it is so hot outside. In Iowa, I'd like to be covered but fashionable. It'll never happen but love these billowy dresses.
